Meet the Team

The Eat Play Grow team have years of experience with working infants, children and their families, addressing feeding and development issues. The team have all worked together in community and hospital settings. Each team member is qualified in the SOS approach to feeding.

Cara Naughton

Speech Pathologist

Cara has over 10 years experience working with infants and children with feeding, communication and developmental difficulties. She has worked in the special care nursery setting and community based feeding and developmental programs for the past decade. Cara focuses on delivering speech pathology services that consider all aspects of a child’s development. She is specialized in working with speech and language development, infants and children transitioning from tube to oral feeding, bottle and breastfeeding, transition to and progress with solids and family mealtimes.

Janet Henry

Senior Occupational Therapist
Bachelor of Applied Science - Occupational Therapy, Member of Occupational Therapy Australia, Registered with AHPRA

Janet has worked as an Occupational Therapist with children and their families for over 20 years. She has worked in Hobart, London, Birmingham and Melbourne in a variety of settings with children of varying needs and abilities.

Janet has worked as the Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist at Northern Health. Primarily working in the Neonatal unit, providing inpatient and outpatient care for infnats over the last 10 years. A particular area of expertise is supporting sleep and settling routines and habits in the finant period, to support positive experiences in feeding, growth, interaction and development.

Tamara Sherry

Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (BND)
Tamara is a dedicated Dietitian with over 7 years of clinical experience working with families and their children. This includes providing nutritional management and support for a range of areas including allergies, tube dependancy, prematurity, underweight/failure to thrive, obesity and other nutritional and feeding issues. Tamara completed the Paediatric Nutrition Certificate through The Royal Children’s Hospital in 2012. Her areas of interest are infant and toddlers feeding practices and the prevention and management of obesity.   

Whilst Tamara is on Maternity leave, we are delighted to have Pauline Schillinger providing Dietetics services on a consultation basis. Pauline has a strong developmental focus which enhances her extensive knowledge of nutrition with infants and children.
